ashleyStepping out for a night of music, Ashley Tisdale was all smiles at the Los Premios MTV 2009 Latin America Awards in Universal City on Thursday (October 15).
Held at the Gibson Amphitheatre, the “Aliens in the Attic” actress looked cute in a little black dress as she posed for pictures on the red carpet before heading inside for the night’s festivities.
Not on-hand as a spectator, Tizzie is among the evening’s performers – as she’ll be playing her new tune “Crank It Up”.The 24-year-old also happens to be among the nominees, as she’s up against Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift, McFly and The Veronicas for Favorite International Artist.

Nicole Scherzinger: Pool Party Princess

nicoleChilling out in Sin City, Nicole Scherzinger was spotted hanging at the Bare Pool Lounge party at the Mirage Hotel & Casino to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the resort on Saturday (October 3).
The Pussycat Dolls diva took the stage along with guitarist Slash and a rockin’ band to perform in honor of the event, looking hot in a sexy all-black getup.
Earlier in the day, Nicole opted to relax by the pool, giving the paparazzi plenty of eye candy in her pretty pink bikini as she text messaged on her mobile phone.
As for her long-awaited solo album, Nicole told press that she’s still writing songs, though she’s excited to get into the studio where she’ll be working with the likes of will.i.am, Timbaland, Lady GaGa, and A.R. Rahman.

2009 MTV VMAs: The Winners

gffLast night’s shindig was memorable for its good points as well as a few snafus.
Kicking off the show, Madonna gave a monologue about Michael Jackson that was followed by a high-energy tribute to the fallen King of Pop, complete with a performance by Janet Jackson.
And during the Best Female Video Award portion, Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech was cut off by Kanye West, who insisted that Beyonce Knowles should’ve won the trophy.

As for live performances, this year’s show was action-packed, with everyone from Green Day to Lady GaGa to Pink taking the stage. As a grand finale, Jay-Z showed up for a duet with Alicia Keys.

The “Poker Face” diva was nothing short of outstanding as she took the stage for a memorable and dramatic rendition of her latest hit “Paparazzi.”
