The city of Chicago held its first Latino Fashion Week in October 2007 and was recognized by media and industry as the first U.S. city to host and celebrate Latino fashion within a dedicated week of events. Since its inception, Chicago Latino Fashion Week and its featured designers have captivated national attention. New opportunities and greater recognition have helped to catapult Chicago Latino designers to receive awards and contracts with major retailers.

The 14th edition of India’s biggest fashion trade event will be held from October 24 – 28, 2009, ushering a new era of a unified fashion week represented by the best of India’s fashion industry brought together on a cohesive platform for another season of cutting edge design, style and business. Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week aims to serve as an effective platform to promote fashion design and provide industry professionals the opportunity to form trade linkages within India and globally. It offers participating designers a business presence and a series of marketing tools all aimed at informing and updating buyers, investors, corporate houses and the media.
India International Fashion Week 2009 will be held at Sheraton Hotel from October 21 – 25, 2009. It is a mainstream fashion platform for established as well as emerging fashion designers from around the world, that intends to feed the Indian appetite for more and diverse fashion offerings. The event is a perfect opportunity for designers from all over the world to come together in cultural unanimity, to go beyond the limitless boundaries of fashion, beauty, and style as it conjures up a new world, a stimulating and enthralling fashion experience, the likes of which has never before been seen or experienced in India.
The 9th Japan Fashion Week 2009 will be held at Tokyo Midtown Hall from Oct 19 – 25, 2009. Japan Fashion Week provides an opportunity for both Japanese and Foreign designers who are interested in the Asian Fashion Market. We strongly feel that we are playing a role in creating a gateway into the world’s fashion industry for young talented designers which is one of the JFW’s goals.
Top Russian designers and foreign guests will present their collections for spring and summer 2010. This season’s RFW schedule includes Italian Day, made possible by Italy’s National Chamber of Fashion, organizer of Milan Fashion Week. Also coming to Moscow will be designers from the United States, Spain, Denmark and Malaysia.
The big news is that this year’s Russian Fashion Week will feature a greater number of showings by Russian designers than in previous years, despite the crisis. Returning to the RFW runway will be those who, for one reason or another, have not shown recently. The upcoming RFW will also be rich in debut collections.
Russian Fashion Week will kick off on 17 October as it always does with a showing by Slava Zaitsev. The maestro has put together a very special show for the first day. La Perla, Costume National, Krizia and Gattinoni, among others, will also have their new collections on the runway. Meanwhile, the ITC’s Congress Center will host a memorable parade by Russian Fashion Week habitu?s Toni Francesc and Maria Lafuente of Spain.
Virginia Fashion Week provides a terrific opportunity for fashion designers to showcase their talent, also for retailers, restaurants, spas, media, and other facilities to promote their businesses. It also serves as a showcase for Virginia based models to work in a professional, world-class event and is a major step in establishing the Hampton Roads area as a fashion-forward region! The slick designer shows featured professional models from Splash Model Management in a series of New York style runway presentations. Many of the models have worked in runway shows in NY, Miami, and abroad. Others have launched their carreers to new levels after participating in VA Fashion Week.
